Are unplanned pregnancies really surprises?
I feel that if your having sex wether your using protection or not, you are basically signing a term of agreement that you realize a baby might be an outcome. So why do people who have sex get surprised when there's an unplanned baby now?

Of course unplanned pregnancies can be a surprise. With my first we tried and tried and tried and 8 months later, finally we got pregnant. With our second it was literally one time without a condom and BAM, we were pregnant. No, we weren't naive to the fact that we could get pregnant, but considering our history with pregnancy, we didn't think it would happen so fast. It was a happy surprise.

Young or old it is a surprise! It could be possible for contraception to fail or even an in the moment kind of situation. That is age discrimination and really annoys me when people stereotype all young people.

Sometimes. There's hardly ever something called an 'unplanned baby', if someone chooses to keep an unplanned pregnancy then you could probably say the baby was planned because she continued the pregnancy and made plans for the baby. Though consent to sex isn't consent to motherhood, if a woman chooses to keep an unplanned pregnancy, more power to her.
