Repeating my previous answer:
The term for blurry is Boke derived from Japanese some people call it Bokeh in English.
How to make blurry background?
1. Your camera 2. Subject your are aiming at 3. Background could be anything.
If you are closer to your subject and the background is at distance it could make blur in the video depending on the lens. In a DSLR camera we can easily achieve it using aperture such as 5.6.
Please note your camera lens is fixed but in A mode you can still change the setting for PSAM modes.
In your camera open user manual on page 56 it will talk about How to make movies. On page 29 it will show you how to use Aperture. Set camera to Aperture priority AE and set aperture to F3.1 - F5.9. Now start experiment put your subject near to you(what you want to shoot clearly) and keep away from background. Next time reverse the experiment to learn the difference such as shoot your subject near to the background you will notice doing so the background will also be clear.
In photography we could achieve sharp and blur image by changing aperture such as 32, 18, 16 and 14 the result will be sharp background. However if we use 10, 8, 7, 5.6 4 or 2 depending on the lens, the subject will be clear but the background will be blurred. You can experiment these settings in video.
Also note smaller the aperture (32, 18, 16 or 14) camera may need Tripod to avoid blur.
You can ask further after doing above experiments.
It is better if you do got a tripod, extra battery and a remote control.
