what happens when you die?
Ecclesiastes 3: 19, 20
"for there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals; they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit. So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile. 20 All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust."
Genesis 3:19
" In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Jehovah is a cruel God who would permit even a wicked person to burn in some kind of eternal fire
When you for you just cease to exist, you return to the dust from where you came
What a loving creating
1John 4:8
"Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love. "

Do not know. When I go I will release a text message! May be an e-mail. Truthfully, none of us will ever know, til we go!

I believe all life has a soul which connects it to a dimension of positive energy yet to be recognised by science , we interact with this dimension in life and the goodness positive thought energy returns to it in death, negative goes no where , this is why we need to stay positive.

Same as the old question...
“What happens after you die?”
I should start keeping a count how many times this gets asked.
I reckon it'd get asked more than "who do atheists come to R&S?"
"I’ve made this another of my standard answers...
I just entered that into the Y!A search...

When we die we be dead...
NOTHING happen after you be dead...
Cos you be dead.
Even bibel agrees…
“Ecclesiastes 9:5 - For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all…
Psalms 146:4 - His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish”

The bible tells is that spirits who die wait in there grave.

At the time of death, the spirit leaves the body. The dead body is buried and decomposes. This has always been so. Before the cross, the spirits of all the dead went to Sheol, called Hades in Greek. Since the cross the spirits of believers go straight to heaven upon death (2 Cor. 5:8). Unbelievers still go to Hades.
A resurrection occurs when these spirits are reunited with new physical bodies that are similar in appearance to their old ones but have none of its defects (1 Cor. 15:42-44). Some Old Testament faithful were resurrected with Jesus (Matt. 27:52-53). The rest will be resurrected at the time of the 2nd Coming (Daniel 12:1-2). The dead from the Church Age will be resurrected at the rapture of the Church (1 Thes. 4:16-17) Living Christians will receive new physical bodies at the same time, and we’ll all be taken to Heaven together. Tribulation martyrs will be resurrected at the time of the 2nd Coming (Rev. 20:4) and all unbelievers will be resurrected at the end of the Millennium, 1000 years later, to be judged (Rev. 20:11-15).

Well death is a natural part of life. We don't know when it'll happen. And in some in religious cultures there's a afterlife. For example in Christianity. Anyone who believes in God, the bible and Jesus Christ, then they'll be in Heaven. As for people who lived a evil and wicked life. When they die, they'll be in Hell.

All the major faiths refer to us the children as already being blind/dead/asleep, or what the Hindu's refer to as being in a state of Avidya/Ignorance.
(Collosions 3:3)
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
ISLAM.
The Koran itself seems quite clear: "And you were dead, and He brought you back to life. And He shall cause you to die, and shall bring you back to life, and in the end shall gather you unto Himself." (2:28).
Buddhism
Avidyā (Sanskrit; Pāli: avijjā; Tibetan phonetic: ma rigpa) is commonly translated as "ignorance" or "delusion".
Hinduism
He who is forgetful of the Self, mistaking the physical body for it, and goes through innumerable births, is like one who wanders all over the world in a dream. Thus, realizing the Self would only be like waking up from the dreamwanderings.
Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950)
Self-Knowledge is the basis of our true being. The ignorant do not have it, and hence they are so called. ASTAVAKRA SAMHITA – Chapter XVIII - P150
-------------------------------------------
Two of the 4 Veda's, dated 1500 BCE translated from Sanskrit as a transliteration by Ramana Maharshi “Tat Tvam Asi” in English is “That Thou Art”, and Prajnanam Brahma (Consciousness is Brahman)
“Thou art That”
Chandogya Upanishad
The Supreme is within us. It is the consciousness underlying the ordinary individualized consciousness of every-day life but incommensurable with it. The two are different in kind, though the Supreme is realizable by one who is prepared to lose his life in order to save it. For the most part we are unaware of the self in us because our attention is engaged by objects which we like or dislike. We must get away from them, to become aware of the Divine in us.
