When your wife tells you that "You people are not my family!" is it time to call it quits?

My wife complains that my children don't want her around. We've been living together for over ten years now. Is the state of their relationship the fault of my children, or is it due to my wife's damage? My younger two are now 13 and 16. I've been trying to help her, but she has no commitment to our marriage and family. She says things like "I have nowhere else to go!" I yelled at her because she will not let me speak unless I yell! I have always loved her and have tried to show her that, but she's convinced that I'm passive aggressive and don't care and that I've done things to ruin her trust in us. Am I wasting my time with her and her pathology? We have a dysfunctional life because of this and I want better for all of us. Should I call it quits? If not, where can I get help? We have no insurance and can't afford counseling.

I would call it quits, it seems this woman is beyond help. Your wife reminds me of my ex-wife that i divorced couple years back. Her behavior is exactly like your wife and she too used the same statement many times with my family (her inlaws), "You people are not my family." Things got worse after that because she then started verbally insulting me and calling me a cheater, I had two jobs. After that, I called it quits. When I divorced here, I felt so happy to the fact that I never had to hear her rants and insults about me.

I would leave if I were you.

Time to call it quits. It's not your problem where she goes or what she does. She will be entitled to some things, so let the courts settle that, but be done with this damaged hole.
