How fast are reactions between atoms and molecules at that level.?

Chemical reactions are extremely fast and i suspect that atomic reactions are faster. Does anyone know approximately how fast.

Nearly the speed of light, once the atoms or molecules start reacting. However, it might take a long time for the reaction to start for any particular atom. Basically, it is the time for the electrons to travel the diameter of the molecule.

Look up Ahmed Zewail, the 1999 winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The 1986 Nobel in Chemistry might also give you some helpful information.
