Jesus! What is with all the panhandling on Yahoo Answers?
I've been on YA for about 10 minutes and already came across the THIRD question that is doing nothing but begging for money. (Actually, two were directly begging, the third one was asking how to beg for money online) What is with people? I'm generally a liberal person, but I can't believe it is more appealing to someone to beg for money than look for a job. The small company I work for has 4 or 5 open positions that they can't fill because of lack of applicants, and these are really good, decent paying jobs. It seems to me to be the trend in the US that the continually shrinking number of people who work for a living are working harder and harder to support the growing number of people who contribute nothing to society and expect to be supported by others.

School's out! the kiddies are bored & are too proud to ask the neighbors if they can cut their lawns or do odd jobs or too good to work at McDonald's or similar places. (this also explains the increase in the "am I pretty" questions on the beauty & style forum)
just flag them for violating policy & wait until they discover the dating section....I can hardly wait for all the "what does it mean when your crush stares at you like a rabid dog?" questions.
I miss the old Marriage & Divorce crowd. theme of the day questions (Mother in Law Monday, Cuckold Tuesday, OMG my Husband is Gay Wednesday, Threesome Thursday, Swinging Friday, Sexually Transmitted Diabeetus Saturday, I don't remember what Sunday was...). my favorite trolls: FranNBeans' Friday love letters to his corpulent wife Moo Moo Luvins, Lord Bottomley, MasterShake...they were all quite witty & suspended)

Yup. Either outright panhandling or trying to sell something. All you can do is flag them.

I have never seen anyone asking for money on this forum. Asking for money is not a question. I would flag their question immediately.
