Is this spinach bolting?

This is an Olympic Spinach that is growing in my garden. I have two that were planted at the same time. The other one is growing like a romain lettuce with many leaves growing from a small common crown. This one has developed a central stalk with leaves growing off it. This reminds me of what lettuce looks like when it bolts. So; is this spinach bolting? Can spinach bolt?

Yes. Whenever it starts to grow a tall stalk it means its developing seeds. I like to cut the bolt off so the plant produces more leaves.

    Yes

Due to weather..the big jump in daily temps. All you can do is cut those leaves off the bottom of your best on this one..and use the bolt for a little flavor seasoning in your staple foods by snipping it up, and sealing them in food containers in the fridge.
