Why would anybody force you to destroy a food garden?
It is being done to me. Started garden on rented land, but am told by co-tenant to get rid of it now because he's vacating, but not me. Landlord does not mind my garden (all was ok when I started). Destroying food like this has to be a Crime in any circumstance, legitimate or not!

Don't do anything to the garden unless the person you rent it from says so. Your EX-cotenant does not own the property so he does not get to tell you what to do. Your ex-co-tenant is just being a mean spirited idiot. Only the landlord can make you do that.

And how come the co-tenant can tell you what to do with the landlord's property? You haven't explained enough of the circumstances for me to be able to make a useful comment.

He was not really a co-tenant but gave me free camping so to speak for watching property. Sorry, it was mostly a Moral/Ethics question, not a legal thing..
