Can you trade Pokemons from Pokemon X to Pokemon Y and vice versa on one 3DS?
I'm planning on buying a 3DS soon and both Pokemon X and Y.So I wanted to know whether it is possible to trade Pokemons from Pokemon X to Pokemon Y and vice versa on one 3DS.

You can't "Trade" them on one system, however you can get Pokemon Bank, an app on 3DS which can store 3,000 pokemon and you can access it with any game in your 3DS. It costs $5 a year and can't hold items, but if you just need to move them its helpful.
As for trading to evolve say, Haunter into Gengar, no you cannot do that. You will need a second 3DS system for that.
