How do I become friends with a girl who's out of my league?

People tell me to be myself and not lie about who I am around girls since girls don't like guys who aren't true. But Im a 17 yr old guy who's a huge fan of One Direction and I wear earrings (By the way I'm 100% straight). There's this girl who I think is way out of my league and she's my age. I wanna get to know her and my friend is planning a hang out with a few girls and she'll be there. How do I talk to her and make a good conversation? I have nothing in common with her I'm sure she doesn't like one direction. Most directioners are young girls. Most 1D fans are below 15. She's 17. Second, I wear earrings cause I like Zayn Malik's style. She could get turned off by that and think im gay (which I'm definitely not). How do I talk to a girl who's out of my league without having to hide who I am as a person?

To be honest, being yourself is the only answer to that. Unless of course you want to lie about it.

Dude, I've been there myself. I know what you feel. You just need to suck it up, be a man and strike a convo with her. Know what she's like before you say that you have nothing in common. Bro, a lot of older teenagers still like 1D btw.

I'm being honest here okay? All you gotta do is suck it up and strike a convo. Something as simple as "hi I'm ~your name~." When she answers you and she will, ask her of her hobbies. I guarantee you that you'll find at least one same hobby as yours. Know her taste in music if you think it can help.

An advice I can give you is, don't jam the girl with so much questions. You'll nlow her mind off and most likely ignore you forever. Just relax, tell yourself you got this, strike a greeting with a smile, ask for hobbies and talk about them. Know what's different and what's alike.

You are doing yourself a huge injustice by thinking such nonsense!

You treat others as you want to be treated, approach others as you yourself would want to be approached. Anyone that would put their nose up at you for whatever reason is NOT worth your damn time, period! Their loss NOT yours!

Self confidence and absurdity my Dear is one of the most attractive things in a man - young or old. So use it and get out of this "league" crap.

if she liked you, she wouldn't be annoyed by sucha thing ! it's ur own interests ! and about earrings there's nothing wrong with that ! not all gay people wear them and I have many straight friends who wear them as well ! if she didn't respect ur interests or style. Then look for another one !
