I cannot get Instagram to install on my phone?
It keeps saying that it is "installed" but it is not there. When I click the button that says "installed" it tells me to pick a device to install it on. Then I get the message that it will be installed shortly, but it never happens.

if it is an android
look for settings >apps>and try to find instagram ,once found tap and look for option uninstall
in ios
To delete an iPhone app (application), just press and hold one of the iPhone app icons -- it doesn't matter which one -- on screen, until all the icons appear to get nervous and start wiggling around. When this behavior starts, all of your third-party iPhone applications will show an "X" icon in the upper-left corner of their application icon
if none of the option works try resetting the phone to factory default because such things can cause a lot of bugs in your phone making it vulnerable to issues.
