I meant what could be the physics, what are the required conditions for this to happen & is something else is possible ?

colors, really, are just slightly different frequencies of electromagnetic radiation... Our eyes have evolved to *detect* these differing frequencies.

Colours are merely our eyes' response to the electromagnetic radiation falling on them. They have evolved to respond to certain frequencies of electromagnetic radiation which we call visible light because our eyes can detect them. Other animal species might see it differently. We certainly know that some insects can see ultraviolet light, and there are plants with flowers that are coloured in the ultraviolet to attract them. We only know because we have cameras that can see in the ultraviolet too. We have evolved to see the range of colours that work for US.
Consider colour blindness. Some people have this, and the most common form is inability to tell the difference between red and green. When I was at university studying physics, I had a lab partner who had this. When we did electronics lab, I had to pick the resistors we needed to make the circuit because they are colour-coded rather than having the number of ohms printed on them, and if he did it, he'd get it wrong.
So there's an interesting question - how do I know if I see the world in the same way that you see it? Richard had been diagnosed with colourblindness so he knew he didn't see it the same as me. I can't imagine how he sees it - does he think leaves look red? I don't know.
Dogs, as far as anyone knows, can't detect colour at all and just see in black and white. They rely more on smell instead to know what they need to know about the world.

Color is an attribute of matter. It didn't come into existence as a separate phenomenon, it is simply a characteristic of matter. This is little different than asking when square or spherical came into existence. The just are. Would color still exist if there were no eyes to see it? There you've strayed into philosophy, a separate category.

Color is a mental sensation, we cannot actually know if what you call "red" the the same as what I call "red"
What we CAN do is make measurements of Frequency and wavelength of light and agree about that.
biologically cooler vision is LESS sensitive to brightness BUT detecting color has advantages , for example picking the ripe fruit from the "green" unripe
or seeing a predator or prey
