Old-style photography today?

For a large population of people who appreciate art and the skill and craftsmanship of such "old style" photography, sure, such a business would likely be viable. The problem is, the people who DO appreciate such photography are much fewer and far between than the typical consumer of today who says how great a lousy cell phone snap shot is on Facebook. The general public has become massively dumbed down as to what good photography even is any more, and when it comes to having a large population of people having knowledge or appreciation of something like a Daguerreotype, ... well it is getting hopeless.

Bottom line, I personally do not think such a business could succeed as a single source of a livable income for anyone in today's cheap, brainless, gotta have it now world. Such a business would have to be located in a large city, and even then, I think it would have to be a certain "type" of city. I could see it being more successful in a place like San Francisco that Pittsburg.

Perhaps someone could make some money on the side, but sadly, I think that is all they could ever do, ... if lucky.

Look up profbloodgood.net they were the source for old time studios you used to find on boardwalks, etc
