Who should I write to with a suggestion about public education?

I want to suggest a change to the K-12 curriculum. Should I petition my state governor, or a higher authority?

Update:

I'm 20 and in college, but thanks for trolling anyway.

Start with your local school board. They are in charge of local curriculum but must follow state law and standards. The state governor has little to do with curriculum. If the change will affect schools statewide like a change to the standards, you would contact your state department of education.
