  • Acrylic or oil paint for this small project?

I want to make a wall quote using white lettering on black canvas. It'll be very simple, just words Which type of paint would be the best choice to achieve bright white writing on a black background?

I have to start with a black canvas and paint white on it instead of the other way around because the size I need is only available in black.

  • Can I draw on a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet using a nib without the rest of the pen?

I don't want to spend $60 on an entire replacement pen. I'm hoping it's possible to make a makeshift "pen" using just a replacement nib attached to something I can hold onto in place of the pen's body.

Would the tablet respond to the nib alone, or is the entire pen needed for communication?

  • Sequence of events at a crime scene?

Question 1: A scene in my story is the crime scene of a murder, and I want the portrayal to be relatively realistic. Who enters the scene first, what do they do, then who comes in next and so on?

Question 2: the murder happened in a building that's part of a city plaza so by the time the body was found the next morning, a bunch of people were in the area. Would the police interview the people in the area, given that the body is cold and whoever was around when it happened might not be there again in the morning?

  • Advice for a first-time computer builder?

I know the components I need, but not how to actually select them. I want to build it with gaming, image editing (lots of large RAW-format photos), and tethered photography in mind. I know I need "lots of memory" and "a fast processor" and "a good graphics card" but I don't know what any of that really means. How do I identify something as being good, fast, high capacity, etc? Are there certain things I should look out for or avoid?

  • How much should I expect to spend shopping in Tokyo?

I'm going on a 2-week tour in Japan. Accommodations and a rail pass will be provided by the tour group so I just want to know how much I should bring to spend on shopping for souvenirs and clothes, on a high budget.

I plan on shopping at the Pokemon Center, Shibuya 109 stores, Akihabara and Harajuku shops, places like that. I was planning to save USD $4,000 for shopping alone. Is that probably too much, not enough, or just right?

  • The ticket for my accident was reduced to a parking ticket. What will an insurance company see?

I was at fault and it happened January 2014 in my parents' car. The court reduced it to a parking ticket. If I buy my own car and apply for car insurance, will the company know that I had an accident or will they see it as a parking ticket?

  • Abs still sore over a week after situps?

I just started working out. On feb 28 I did 100 pushups in sets of 20. Stupidly, I used the torso rotation and crunch machine at the gym two days in a row after that, 75 reps per machine in sets of 25. The thing is my abs are only sore when I stretch or arch my torso- when I do that, it feels like an intense burn like you feel when you're working out. If I'm just sitting or walking normally it isn't sore at all. Is that normal?

  • What is the title of this book?

Before I begin: it is a FICTIONAL BOOK so there is no need to report me like somebody did last time I asked. It is A FICTIONAL BOOK I DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT THE ACTUAL BIBLE SAYS. I AM ASKING ABOUT A FICTIONAL STORYBOOK.

The book was about a group of researchers or archaeologists who think they found the remains of Christ, and some kind of group is trying to prevent them from going public with the discovery because of some kind of conspiracy or something. The book was a Barnes and Noble discounted bestseller a few months ago.

  • My neutered cat keeps humping soft things?

He was neutered at the recommended age 4+ years ago. I read somewhere that it means he wants attention but when i tried petting him he got mad and his meow sounded weird.

He hasn't been injured or otherwise traumatized so I don't know why he suddenly has started humping. He never did it before and he acts normal when he isnt doing that.

  • Career that lets me protect animals?

What are some careers in which you're directly involved in animal care? My ideal job would be something that lets me rehabilitate or otherwise save animals that have been abused. But I'm also concerned that a job like that wouldn't make me much money, especially since until now I've been planning to go into the lucrative field of computer technology.

I'm squeamish, so being a vet seems out of the question since you'd need to perform (or at least watch during your training) surgeries. Is this something I'd need to get over in order to work directly with animals at all, or are there options for me that don't involve the gory stuff?

Obviously I'm going to do further research but I need a starting point.

  • Super Advanced Whey Protein won't fully dissolve?

Even though I follow the serving instruction, which is to mix 1 scoop of the powder with 1 cup (actual measurement, not just literally a glass) of milk, it won't fully dissolve. Tons of little globs keep floating at the surface after like a minute of mixing. Does that mean it's poor quality protein or am I just messing up the measurements somehow? Not sure how I could be messing it up but hey.

  • Factoring polynomials + zero product principle?

    Original problem:

    64y^3 - 2 = y - 128y^2

    I turned it into

    64y^3 - 2 - y + 128y^2 = 0

    (64y^3 - y) + (128y^2 - 2) = 0

    y(64y^2 - 1) + 2(64y^2 - 1) = 0

    (64y^2 - 1) (y+2) = 0

I don't know what to do now. I'm supposed to solve it by factoring and then using the zero-product principle.
