My appeal link will not work. how do I make an appeal?
I have not violated any of these rules:
Venting, ranting or using hate speech. Chatting or violating the Q&A format. Exploiting the community. Cheating. Violating the law. Behaving maliciously. Misusing Yahoo Answers. Doing harm.
With this question:
"Can the mentally ill sue the federal government if Obama repeals the 2nd Amendment for the mentally ill,?"
i myself am mentally ill and am opposed to any such wide-sweeping matter of theexclusion of my rights as a citizen on the USA. They try to keep us from voting already, and now my second amendment rights as well.
Have you ever heard of disability rights? Taking away my 2nd amendment rights is s violation of them as well as myconstitutional rights.
Pleasereconsider deleting it.

I don't know about the appeal, but when the second amendment was written people that were considered "mentally ill" were mostly confined to "asylums for the mentally feeble" or "asylums for the criminally insane" (BTW don't blame me for the "politically incorrect" names for these facilities, that's what they were called 200 years ago.
Since the mentally ill were usually confined to facilities, they did not have the rights of other freemen, including the right to keep and bear arms.
Of all of the current proposals that I have heard the one that makes the most sense gives the family an adult a method of forcing a competency hearing. If that hearing ends with a conclusion that the individual is, in fact, a danger to themselves or others then the court would order their name added to the FBI database making it impossible for them to pass a background check. With a little polish this is a good idea!
I do not agree with the provision allowing the government to confiscate any assets of any individual resident, mandating that they provide the court with proof that any guns they currently own have been transferred to (or sold to) someone that will accept responsibility for them is better.
Fact of the matter is, the government has a compelling interest in preventing mass shootings. These crimes are usually committed by people with a mental disease or defect. Preventing dangerous mental patients from purchasing firearms through legal outlets serves a compelling interest of government.

It is clear that you are mentally ill. I have no idea what you are talking about.
