What is wrong with people?

Everytime i browse through this category i read comments and even threads about people claiming that homosexuals are like demons, spawns of the devil or possessed and alot of other stupid things that make no sense.

Why do people do this, what is the cause?

Is it religion or are people just so afraid of something different that they would rather go out of their way to make hateful comments and drive some people to suicide rather than face the fact that its normal and not going anywhere and actually moving on with their lives and doing something productive.

If you cant think of it as something just as normal as hetrosexuality, think of it as natures way of slowing down overpopulation instead or something. Not some satanic **** that just spreads hate.

It is not "people". it is society. Some parents "teach" their kids (by example mostly) how to treat people who are different - whether it is the color of the skin, or sexual orientation. Society has not learned, or accepted, someone who is gay to be normal. And these kids grow up and "teach" their kids - and it goes on and on and on.

Years ago, slavery was accepted. That eventually changed, and now, if you ask most people, they will agree that slavery is wrong. You always have a few dummies who will disagree - but the majority agrees. This took a hundred years and more to get to this point.

I hope it doesn't take as long for people to accept gays.

And please, don't think everyone hates gays. I am a straight person who accepts you and everyone else as being my equal. I am no better than you because I am straight, and you are no better than me because you are gay. We are all equal, and all brothers and sisters of the human race.

People are just extremely immature and bored. They don't have to agree with the LBGT community but that isn't enough. They need to come on here to voice how they feel to get a rise out of others, they WILL at least get a couple of people to respond and as long as someone cares to respond then they feel they achieved something, it's a sad way to spend their time but it's their time to waste.

Well religious people haven't exactly been spreading love lately, so that makes them total hypocrites. If they thought all gays were going to Hell, then they should wonder where they're going spread in all this hate. No I'm not trying to smack down religious people and I'm not saying all religious people are spreading hate.

It's just our usual infestation of trolls who need to cut other people down in order to give their worthless little lives some shred of meaning.

I myself have nothing against gay ppl. I do think its disgusting but as long as i don't need to see it no problem. Gay ppl havent done anything to me. Only thing i hate is gay making out in public. That's just discusting.

People who saids horrible things about the LGBT community are nothing but ignorant garbage. Homosexuality is just as beautiful as heterosexuality. Not agreeing with the gay commnity is one thing but bashing them is another. Yu could disagree with their sexuality, but you could also be respectful and still treat them like human beings. My sister is a lesbian, my mother doesnt agree with her sexuality but she supports her, and also helps her out with alot of things in the gay community
