Western Union claim?

I have a question regarding to western union. I am about to spend on $1000 on goods using western union with my credit card. If the seller decided to run off with my money, can I open a dispute with my credit/debit card company to get it back?

You can never get your money back if you send it through Western Union. That's why Western Union has a poster in every branch telling customers to NEVER use Western Union for any purchases

No you can't open a dispute with your credit card. The credit card would only protect you if Western Union defrauded you. But Western Union is not defrauding you. If the seller doesn't send anything you are screwed with no way to get your money back

If the seller won't accept a credit card or Paypal then DO NOT go through with this transaction or you are going to lose your money. The ONLY other option is to use an escrow service like escrow.com but that costs about $35

You should ask this in the financial section, not the rugby section.
