when i was in the military i was injured it was internal?

as someone said to me the other day after viewing the x-rays "why aren't you a quadraplegic ?

this is an invisible injury, but since it was not incurred in battle but in non combative military service does it deserve a Purple Heart?

do people who have served in the military and have mental issues and disabilities service connected deserve Purple Hearts?

I am classified 100% Disabled, Permanent & Total, for PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder resulting from combat service.

I DO NOT deserve a Purple Heart. That is for the folks who actually suffered physical injury resulting from combat.

Try for VA Disability, but you are likely to have a hard time proving it.

Purple Hearts are ONLY given for wounds received in combat. As you yourself stated that your injury was not combat related, no you don't deserve one.

nope no PH, but when you get out you can apply for VA compensation or start the process now to get out if you are still in. You might get a medical discharge if you are that hurt. Talk to the doc.

So you can PROVE this occurred while you was active duty?? or are you still in.
