Which do you prefer: Looking for Alaska or The Fault in Our Stars? (please answer only if you've read both)?
Ever since the TFIOS movie came out I've been seeing a lot more debate about which John Green books were better, and its was mainly between these two. I personally have my own opinion on which is better, but I just wanted to see what others thought on here :)
So, out of the two, which one did you like better? Why?
Like I said, please answer if you've read both. Thanks xx

I've read both but I preferred the Fault in Our Stars. I don't think TFIOS is his best (my favorite is Paper Towns), but I honestly didn't think Looking for Alaska was all that amazing. A lot of people seemed to enjoy it much more than I did. Perhaps I was just expecting more when I read it.
I liked the characters in TFIOS better, which made the book more enjoyable to me even though I don't typically enjoy that type of plot.
For me, Looking for Alaska took a very long time to start, I had a hard time getting into it, and I didn't like Alaska. Overall I enjoyed both the books, but TFIOS was better.

I have read every book that John Green has wrote or been a part of.
In terms of TFIOS or LFA, I truely think TFIOS is way better. The characters were way more lovable. In TFIOS, there wasn't one character who I didn't like, with the exception of the author who we were supposed to dislike. However, in LFA, I really didn't care or love half of the characters. Sure, they were interesting enough for me to keep reading, but that was it.
Maybe it was the fact that TFIOS had a girl's POV and as a girl I can relate more, but idk.
Overall, I have to say that the way LFA ended was weak. All of JG endings are really weak IMO but at least TFIOS had to end that way or it'd be silly. Why have a double cancer book if it all gets better in the end? But in LFA, the story just kind of ended and that was it. I didn't like that.
Both are interesting reads, but for me, there's no competition because TFIOS is the best. :)
