What theater of WW I operations would you most want to fight in & least want to fight In?

Of those four, I'd most rather fight in Verdun for the French army - most R&R, albeit higher casualty rates.

I'd least rather fight at the Isonzo for the Italian army - 11 battles in the same place, commanders actually performing decimation on units that fail to meet impossible objectives, etc.

As I'm university educated,I would be an officer with a staff job,so would be well behind lines (and thus any danger),which is where the senior commanders kept themselves (and t6heir staff officers throughout the war.

So,all 4 would be equally safe/dangerous for me.

I would most want to be an intelligence officer at some secret facility in the middle of Saskatchewan. Boring, but really really safe.
