How do I play the first Black Ops Bots without steam?

i just got the first black ops on steam, and I want to play bots, but I can't seem to run it without running steam. How do I do this? Such a piece of **** program...

    Black Ops is a Steamworks game. You have to run it through Steam.

    You need Steam.

    Why are you hating on Steam? You clearly haven't used uPlay before.
