How likely is it to be pregant from having close contacted with someone and having taken a pregnancy test?

Hi basically I was dry humping my boyfriend and he rubbed his penis on my underwear, he literally did it for like 3 seconds and I told him to stop, I asked him if he ejaculated before or while but he said no and I missed my period by a bit but I'm guessing that's because I'm a teenager and still having irregular periods? I've been having cramps and my stomach is abnormally hard as I'm a little chubby, I took a pregnancy test at the doctors and it came back negative but I was just wondering what you think the chances are of me being pregnant? Thank you

If you were dry humping with clothes on (even just underwear), you're not pregnant. The best way to get pregnant is for fresh sperm to be ejaculated into your vagina during unprotected sex (as in when his penis is inside your vagina without a condom and while you aren't on any form of female birth control). If he was dry the whole time, you definitely aren't pregnant. If there is no sperm, there can be no baby.

It's ok to be a little late for your period. While you're young, it's very common and normal to have "wacky" periods. Even some adults don't have regular "clock work" periods (ones that literally come EVERY 28 days). I myself am an adult and I have never really had a period that comes the same EXACT time every single month. I have also skipped completely before (but that doesn't happen nearly as often anymore). A lot of things can impact your period - stress/worry, changes in weight/diet, starting birth control, coming off birth control, switching birth controls, etc... can all cause your period to come late or skip altogether.

To better determine your period, start tracking it. Get a little notebook and write down when you have your period each month (when it starts, when it ends, etc...). Also note if there are any changes or "oddities" you notice (a change in flow, length, PMS symptoms, etc...). If you don't get it one month, write "skip" or leave it blank or something so you know nothing happened for that month.

If the pregnancy test from the doctor came back negative, I'd say you're probably in the clear (unless you tested too early and it didn't show up - it's ideal to wait about 2 or 2 and a half weeks after you feel you may have got pregnant to test). You can try a home pregnancy test if you want to. Use a good brand (Clear Blue or First Response are ideal) and make sure you test in the morning using your first urine of the day to achieve the most accurate results. If it's also negative, you're probably not pregnant.

Since you've been having cramps and stuff, you may be about to get your period. It's common to start having PMS related symptoms up to a week or so before you start.

In the future, make sure you practice SAFE sex! It's ok to fool around and have fun - but be smart and responsible! No, you won't get pregnant from something like this (dry humping with clothes and NO ejaculation)... but one thing can quickly lead to another. Make sure you guys each keep condoms on hand so that if things get heated, you're ready. It's important to use at least a condom every single time you engage in sex to prevent pregnancy. Just make sure you're using them and storing them correctly! Using a condom properly means - wearing the right size, making sure it's on fully/correctly, not reusing it (throw it away after each use), change it once it's been ejaculated in, don't use expired ones (check the date printed on the wrapper/box), and don't open them using teeth and be sure your nails are filed/smooth (sharp nails and teeth can easily create a small tear/hole in the condom). Proper condom storage means - keeping them out of direct sunlight, storing them at around room temperature, keeping them in a cool/dry place (like a dresser, in a little box inside a closet or by a nightstand, etc...), not storing them in a vehicle (vehicles can get REALLY hot, especially if they're parked outside when it's warm out! Same goes for the cold - they can get super cold when not running), avoid leaving them somewhere TOO cold (the freezer/fridge, outside in the winter, etc...), don't keep them in a wallet (if a guy carries his wallet in his back pocket, all the bending/sitting can have an impact on the condom), and make sure they don't get caught on anything (like a zipper). Girls can carry them in a purse - just keep them in a little zipper section, or put a small pouch (like a tampon carrier or change purse) in there for you to place them in.

If you took a pregnancy test, you probably are not pregnant. The chance of getting pregnant from dry humping is quite low. However, if you are dry humping, you will probably having sex sometime soon, so make sure your boyfriend has condom and you are on birth control.
