I feel it could be possible as to the fact that like actor Heath Ledger that Marc Bolan could have tricked everyone into believing he was killed vi a a car crash on Sept 16, 1977. But if it can be proven that's the only real deal of the New Millienia

This is a trick question, as there never actually was such a person as Marc Bolan. Marc Bolan was an alter ego created by Syd Barrett to allow himself musical freedom from Pink Floyd contractual obligations. As both T. Rex and Pink Floyd grew in popularity, it became too difficult to maintain both personas, so he feigned insanity with Pink Floyd, thus being forced out of the band. From 1968-1977 he exclusively assumed the Bolan character (taking breaks only for the recording of his two solo Barrett albums), but T. Rex's glam sound was fast becoming unfashionable. In 1975, he tested the waters of a possible reunion with Pink Floyd by visiting the band during the Wish You Were Here sessions, but found the group could no longer recognize him so he again feigned insanity. He continued to release music as Marc Bolan until 1977, when, frustrated with glam's lack of depth, he chose to kill off the Bolan character once and for all. Disillusioned with music, Barrett bummed around Europe for the next four years, living off Pink Floyd and T. Rex royalties, until he reemerged in 1981 under another assumed persona: Gillingham FC manager Keith Peacock. He managed the club for six years before hiring a lookalike to continue as Peacock, not having the heart to kill off another character. (The lookalike would go on to manage Maidstone United and Charlton.) Barrett went into retirement in 1987 until his death in 2006.

I wish Heath Ledger faked his death. Imagine how much greater Dark Knight Rises (already pretty awesome) would've been if Joker had been there.

I believe he's dead but you know, only the good die young (not really but often).

He's probably living with Elvis, Jim Morrison and all other non-dead rock stars.
