What is a level 8b worth in GCSE grades - History?

This question is for people who have either done a history gcse and know the level to grade boundaries, or for any history teachers (in the UK).

I'm in year 9 and have just done some practice tests for various subjects. I think that this test was made by our history department, so it might not be exactly right, but I'd like to know what the level 8b would get me at GCSE level. (I got 33 marks but I can't remember what it was out of)

    At GCSE Level, a level 8b, which I found practically impossible to achieve, would be an A*. Highest grade possible at GCSE Level.

    Good, right?

    That's an amazing grade for year 9! I left year 9 with a 7A, and I'm predicted an A* so you'll be an A*+++++ :-)
