road laws? why is it so meesed up?

If a guy cuts you off on the highway inches from you car and purposely slams on their brakes and I hit them....being THEIR fault, why is the law going to say its my fault?

Many years ago, I had a woman pull out in front of me and slammed on the brakes. I hit her. The police came to investigate. At the site of the crash, there happen to be many people standing there and witnessed it. They happen to be striking workers out front of a business. They confirmed what I had told the investigating officer and he wrote the lady a ticket. I was cleared of any fault. Unfortunately most officers just write up a crash report and ticket the driver without fully investigating what happen. What appears to be cut and dry does not always be what it appears.

Because , normally, hitting another vehicle from the rear shows you were driving too close to react to the events unfolding in front of you, sometimes in crowded traffic , the vehicles bunch too close together and drive too fast, this is a common cause of accidents, far more common than a driver staging a rear ending type accident by cutting you up and jamming on the brakes

Any time someone is hit from behind its ALWAYS the other persons fault..thats just how it is..
