What is the best guitar pedal for Thrash/Death Metal and Grindcore?

I just got the Throttle Box by MESA which sounds great with my Randall half-stack but on my line-6 practice amp at home I can tell that it's low end isn't really what I want. I want to be able to play heavy palm muted power chord grooves (think slam death metal) without it sounding too scratchy. I was thinking maybe the Death Metal by Digitech. I don't want to get the Boss Metal Zone just because my other guitarist has that pedal. Thanks.
