How many bouts of depression before suicide?
5? 10? I feel so heavy, as though I'm just dragging my body places. Drag it to work, drag it to friends... I'm tired of constantly fighting myself, keeping myself from blowing my head off. I'm tired and I just want to lie down and vanish. Gone. Period. Nothingness is better misery.
I'm lonely, I've been slowly dying of loneliness for years. Tried all the different options out there, still alone.
How many times must a person go through this before they end it?

I dont think ending it is ever the answer although some people do. Have you gone to the doctors for medicine or talked to a close friend about how you are feeling as it MAY help. I cant guarantee that it will as every body is different. I suffer from depression and so I know it isn't nice. It is just plain misery. It isn't just getting worse because you are on your own as I have a boyfriend and I still have the worsening depression, it just helps to speak to someone (for me anyway).
Just please don't do anything silly x

Some people live with depression all their life and do not attempt suicide. If feeling suicidal go to doctor or call suicide crisis line.

One thing to do is find out what you really want in life. It is hard to know at any age, especially as a young adult.

1) Solve the problem in your life no matter how hard it is
2) Get counselling and support from people around you
3) Get medication to help
4) Make a start by wanting to change and stop cutting/suicide etc
I know this sounds impossible, but please understand I was in the same place as you until I did all of these things. Trust me, it seems so hard but once you get out there and make a change for yourself and to keep yourself alive, its worth it.
You will look back and know how strong you are. You are the only person out of all sperm cells that was strong enough to live this life. So prove your dad right and go out there and fix things. Even if they aren't your problem.
Maybe find a religin that speaks to you and live for that one thing in life, even if its a person.
