What phone should I buy?

I made a mistake last year and saved 200 NIS for buying the Sony Xperia Z instead of a Galaxy S4 or iPhone 5. Now my phone is problematic, and I think any day now it could stop working. I'll give myself a budget of about $400 to buy a phone, but I don't know which.

The Nexus 5 seems appealing, but I don't know if Google will release a new version later this year, which holds me off from buying. Also, I'll only buy a phone that has either a Qualcomm on Nvidia SoC, 32GB's of storage or more, and made by a well known OEM (Samsung, HTC, or LG).

Also, I need the phone to last me at least two years without causing too many problems. For example, my Xperia Z's charging jack broke after 6 months of light use. I need a phone that won't have problems like this or any design flaws like on the Xperia Z which the back glass adhesive melts after overheating.

Update:

I can purchase from US stores.

I think you should get the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4 if your budget is $400.
