lowering my truck back to stock height? how to remove current lift?
When I bought my 1985 Toyota sr5 xcab 5 years ago, it came lifted by about an inch. Or at least it looks that way. Now I'm not familiar with suspension components whatsoever so I don't even know where to look to check for these lifting parts etc. where would I check on my truck exactly? looking to do this myself as I've done everything else on this truck myself and hope to keep it that way. the more info given, the better. I just need to know where to look to see which "lifting" parts have been added etc. thanks.

NOBODY "lifts" a truck by just one inch. You are probably looking at original stock ride height. There are several different methods available to "LOWER" your truck, if you want. I suggest you do some research on the Internet to find an appropriate method to accomplish your goals.

If its just an inch, then that probably a leveling kit. Most suspension lifts for trucks of that era is 3 inches or more. I wouldn't mess with it. Especially if it has a front independent suspension setup. It's takes lots of know how to work on those suspensions.
