For those celebrating the Hobby Lobby win ...?
.... what will you think/feel/do when OTHER meds are treated this way. YOU opened the door to this happening. What if I don't want to pay for viagra for instance. If God wanted it to go up, it would .. on its own. And YES .. it is even covered by medicaid! How about meds for the mentally ill? Or maybe I'll decide that chemo is much to big a burden on insurance companies and are driving MY rates up. If God wants you to live, you won't need chemo? Hmmm ... shoe on other foot. How will you react then? Your so called small government just got in my face. Want it in yours?
How many more people can possibly miss the ENTIRE POINT of my question?

Your Viagra point is the best point of all. Since it's women that have the far-bigger price to pay when the hibbity-dibbity happens, and an unwanted pregnancy occurs, it just seems like another attempt to control what happens inside a woman's body. A guy's ability to penetrate his wife/girlfriend/significant-other for a few minutes is obviously far more important medically than a woman's 9 month forced committment to a pregnancy, and then another 18 years of legal and financial responsibility.
I'm not a woman, but if I were, I'd be damn pissed off at the assumption that a man's sexual function is so much more important than a woman's. I'm pissed off anyways that gender equality goes out the window.

No one is denying you anything or forbidding anything. All they are saying is that you can't FORCE an employer to provide it to you against their wishes. And, no sane person would have a problem with a company not being forced to provide Viagra just because you can't get it up.

Corporations founded by people who believe that the only "viable" treatment for disease is prayer are now free to provide "prayer only" medical plans for their employees....of course those employees are free to leave!
That's the most likely thing that will happen at Hobby Lobby....an "exodus" (pun intended) of employees...those were sh!tty jobs anyhow....

Anthony Kennedy, who was part of the majority, also wrote separately to emphasize that the administration can solve its problem easily. "The accommodation works by requiring insurance companies to cover, without cost sharing, contraception coverage for female employees who wish it," Kennedy said. He said that arrangement "does not impinge on the plaintiffs' religious beliefs."
Not the win you are quoting...

So a business owned by Christian Scientists does not have to provide any coverage for their employees at all?
- RichBLv 77 years ago
Bah. Better to have a full social healthcare system where employers aren't burdened except through taxes - then the individual employees don't have to conform to the often wack-o beliefs of the business owners. Works OK in Europe.

You mean I have the option now to pay for optional medicine? Not in America!!!! Who woulda thought?

No American ever entertained the idea that YOU should be FORCED to BUY their medicine.
