If the USA wins, do they still (in theory) have a chance to place in the top 3 (if they keep winning)? Or are they just playing a basically losers round now?

Don't even worry about it; the U.S. will be boarding the plane and come home later on tonight (and I will have $100 in my pocket).

You have to be a troll to be that stupid right? You don't understand single-elimination brackets? The same kind used in the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL?

This isn't like baseball, there are no loser brackets. It's pure knockout style, win or go home so if they win they will be in quarterfinals (last 8) and if they lose they are out.
