there is favor from God, but in judgment God is not a respecter of persons: see acts 10:34-35
just last night! i was reading the teachings of Joseph Fielding Smith, ch 13, and he quoted this verse.
jesus definitely used the terms swine, dogs and vipers to describe the unsaved; so i think there are those that are better than others. but those that "think" they are better and those that are proud are worse than the poor. He does teach that rich and those that love money are the root of all evil.
WE should not live our lives as though we are better than anyone, we should always walk in the spirit of Love and in humility.
so, the children of the covenant are better than the falsely believed "chosen ones" only the humble are "chosen" only the repentant walk in the spirit of God which is a HUGE blessing for happiness. and those that dont pray do not live in the spirit of God. something like that.
