why do adults have imaginary friends?

We have imaginary friends because atheists lie about being our friends, while our enemies are made by the work of our own hands.

The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!

If they cannot escape into reality in their teens they are trapped by their indoctrination!

Imagination is fun and healthy for emotions at any age. Children play with toys. Adults also play with toys except we prefer to call them game/recreational/creativity equipments rather than toys, When we play solitary games, we always imagine having humaniod opponents.

Let's put aside the argument of whether God is real or not, God is not an imagination because an imagination is something/someone that one knows to be unreal, whereas God is someone whom one is supposed to be real.

I believe that you may be seeing people with blue tooth technology walking up and down the sidewalks as they talk to their friends on their cell phones. 30 years ago, we had the real thing then. People walking up and down the sidewalks talking to themselves or to imaginary friends. Because we didn't have cell phones like we do now. What happened to all of the crazies who used to do that??? The answer is nothing!!! Look at their hair. Its all old and grey. They are all still doing the same thing accept the Illuminati is handing out free blue tooth like devices so they can all at least look like they are really talking to someone. Adults have imaginary friends (and enemies) for the same reason as children: for play. Play is essential for good mental health. It provides an outlet for stress as well as safe recreation.

That is why FanFiction.net and the Wonderful World of Make Believe exist on the Internet, and why there are Ren Faires, Comic-Cons, comic books, and soap operas.

Play is good for mental and spiritual health. It only becomes a problem when the player loses the ability to distinguish the real from the imaginary. Then it slips into mental illness.
