Idea for putting a stop to flopping in soccer...whaddya think?

Soccer sucks. I am European and after getting introduced to American football, I see it as a bunch of effete men running in circles with little skill. Flopping is just one example. Most plays are just the ball being kicked back and forth with little aim or skill. Most shots on goal aren't even close. When they get lucky and get a goal everyone gets excited because they something actually happened.

Whereas in American football every play is carefully planned...every play is action. Europeans complain that the action stops. Actually, it's perfect you know when the action is. With soccer, 95% of the game is effectively no action! they just keep the clock running!

That won't happen. People don't want the game stopped to review a replay. They don't want coaches challenging a referees decision. People simply don't want it like American sports.

It's a bit like Europeans telling the Americans that there should be promotion and relegation in the MLS and there should be no draft system or wage caps.

No offense, but flopping' or simulating is a pert of all sports. We see it in the NFL, Basketball.". You name it. It is all part of trying to gain an unfair advantage. It is natural.

I think all sports should review game footage and assess the plays. Then levy fines and penalties... MEANINGFUL punishments after the fact.. If they have enough of a penalty, players will think twice about it.

But to pros that make millions, it has to hurt both in games and $'s.
