hide email address?

I'm setting up a group. I want those who choose to register with yahoo by taking a yahoo ID to have their yahoo ID displayed at the bottom of the email, and NOT their email address.

I want to say: Those who are happy to have their email address displayed may join without a yahoo ID; those that aren't should register a yahoo ID. And then I want that displayed in the "Posted by:" line after the message.

Is this (a) possible, and (b) easy?

I'm not even sure how to look for your answers, those of you kind enough to give them; it's finger-crossing time here!

    Hi,

This is possible. However, it's not a setting in the Group. You would need to ask that members of the Group include their email address in the contents of their emails to the Group. It would be your responsibility as owner/moderator to make sure they do this, as it's a request specific to your Group and not a requirement by Yahoo Groups.

Note: This would be a redundancy in content if accomplished as the email address or alias of each member will appear in the 'Sender' field so long as the Group does not allow email addresses to be hidden.

Here's an article that gives a basic overview of Groups and how features are designed to work:

    Hope that helps!
