i was victim of a scam now what?

the issue is this. Yesterday i called the bank to confirm my balance . When i call yesterday to confirm the account their was a withdraw over 1000.00. I am kind of scared because i never did that transaction and somebody else from another state did it, if i could received that money back, they said they used a bank debit card form as a credit and they already processed it, but the bank has it on hold for only several days. Will i get my money back or these scammers won against me ? what can i do its driving me crazy.

you need to file a fraud report with the bank stating you did not perform the withdrawal and authorize them to investigate, you also need to cancel that card and get a new one, You may also need to report identity theft to the police

You were scammed due to hacking of your card information. You should immediately report it to the bank because they can still give back your money if the person is in USA.For future identity theft security you should change your password and online information and keep them safe.Donot do too much online transactions via internet because spammers mostly hack through internet.

I can't send you a message. File a police report then bring a copy of that report to your bank manager

you will get the money back if it was fraud

    happens

some people actually try to fraud banks, so the bank just needs time to do their research first.

As long as it was fraud, you should be fine. Just be sure you didn't give someone your number or card to use as this will be investigated at over $1,000.
