The mosh pit is scary, especially when you see the crowd running around in a circle and slamming into each other. I went to a GWAR show a few years ago, and one of the opening acts had this happen.
I stayed out of the mosh pit. Since I am over 21 I could sit in the bar area and avoid it. Since you are underage you won't have that option.
I will be attending BVB in November at the same venue as GWAR (the Knitting Factory in Spokane). You could call the venue where you are going and find out if there is an area where you can sit and avoid the mosh pit, or is it all general admission.
Many places try got rid of general admission after a disaster in Cincinnati in the 70s where several people got crushed to death trying to get into a Who concert.

General Admission areas are tough .. make sure you get there early and go to the bathroom before the show.. when you get to your spot hold your ground and don't let anyone shove you away
