Mouse suddenly stopped working?

This morning I started my computer and started looking at my email. Suddenly the mouse clicking would not work; the pointer was still moving, but clicks were unresponsive.

I unplugged the mouse and put it back in, and it stopped responding at all. I tried another mouse, also wouldnt work. I kept getting the message `USB device not recognized; The last USB device you connected malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it".

I tried restarting the computer, unplugging it for a few minutes, nothing works. I tested both mice on a different computer, they work fine. Its just my PC that is suddenly having this issue.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

    Try different USB ports. Try using the back USB port if you've been using the front or vice versa. If all else fails then just try resetting windows.

    Firstly try in other port if nothing happens then once restart your computer or laptop.

    Ok well it started working by itself. Really weird.
