I'm a computer engineering student. I'm confused as about which society to join, CSI IEEE or ISTE.?

I was at another college for a year before i joined my present college. At my old college, I was an ISTE member and i really liked it a lot. Now they are asking for members to CSI at my current college. Kindly tell me is it worth joining? Else is ISTE or IEEE lot better in terms of fees and events?

I would encourage you to go to a meeting/event that any of these groups hold at your school. I would be shocked if they didn't let you come as a guest. Talk to the other kids involved with each group and they will give you the most accurate information for your situation at your school in the present time. They will all likely to be smart leader types, as the average kids are busting it just to get through school and not joining societies, so networking with the society kids wouldn't be a bad idea in itself. Some day they may want hire you, or you may need to hire someone and are glad you have stayed in touch.

IEEE&CSI are sister societies. Heard CSI is somewhat stagnant in their activities.

If you previously enjoyed your membership in the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), then you should reop your ISTE membership at

    your new college.
