Restore iPod to older firmware?
Hello everyone, I recently forgot my password for my iPod so I did a hard reset with DFU mode connected to iTunes. iTunes is trying to download the latest firmware (7.1.2) and restore my iPod. However, I want it to restore to 7.1.1. Is there any way I can do that? Thanks.
p.s The 7.1.2 update have not been applied yet.

If you have jailbroken your iPod and saved the SHSH file that you can get from Cydia, and download the .ipsw for your iPod then stitch them together with a program then restore from it, then you can. If not I don't believe you can restore to a older version.
You can try downloading the .ipsw file for your iPod and then when its finished downloading, plug your iPod in hold shift (or option depends if you use windows or not) and click restore then a box will pop up and from there you select the .ipsw file. I've never tried it that way, I doubt it will work but you can try if you like. Other than that, without the SHSH file from that specific version for your iPod, you won't be able to. SHSH files are specific to your iDevice as well.
