Persian blue allium?
Hello. Trying to figure out if Persian blue allium is closer to blue than to purple. I know the full name is Allium aflatunense 'Purple Sensation,' so I am confused. Most of the photos definitely lean toward blue, but some look quite purple. Thanks for any help.

Your confusion might be because good old mother nature isn't always consistent. Their shade of color depends on the minerals in the soil, amount of sun and even the individual bulb. Of course, you can say something similar about cameras, but I grow several Allium varieties, including purple sensation, and have seen bluer ones grow in the shade compared to the sunny purples.
