Seems to be less and less investigative reporting, either the latest sound bite or conspiracy theories.

NPR does more investigation than any commercial news source, although the stories are usually slanted left and they are not free of conspiracy theories. Weekly news magazines also tend to do more investigation.

You can find English language versions of Newspapers from various countries by Googling them online. For instance if you want to see the story of Gaza from both sides. http://www.jpost.com/Headlines/Home.aspx
Haretz is considered too Liberal by conservative Israelis http://www.haaretz.com/
For the Arab side Aljazeera http://america.aljazeera.com/
