How come someone uses my e-mail address when I try to "join" Facebook. I cannot get onto it. Thank you.?
My e-mail address has been used by someone else and obviously uses their own pass word. Each time I put in MY password it says that I cannot get in because the e-mail address is being used by someone else.

Tell Facebook that somebody is using your email by mistake, and get them to close the account.

use the "forgot password" option and enter your email... then a password reset email will be sent to you... then you can take over that account
and never use the same password for your email as you use for your facebook - that is asking for trouble
