Cell phone help?
My cell phone (Samsung Brightside) got wet yesterday. It wasn't submerged in water but my pocket where it was in got wet and kind of screwed my phone. It works, you can turn it on, however, my the touchscreen part no longer takes effect and not all of my buttons on the key pad work. When I disassembled the phone, there was damage to it. I put in a bag of rice hoping the water will be absorbed from it. Do you think this will work in my situation and my keypad will be restored to a point it will work?

Probably not once it hits the electronics it's pretty much done for. :( you could look for a new one on eBay used though they have some decent prices.

but if the current short circuited and damaged a part of your phone is completely ******.
rice can absorb water. if you leave it over night it might fix it. and also drain your battery to the lowest and charge it fully before using.
