No. Don’t be a victim of the Grand Illusion. No one has it any easier than anyone else. Life is about perception. If you are not able to see and enjoy the good in your life, all the fame and money in the world could not make you happy for long.
What we are looking for is peace of mind. Peace of mind is simply the absence of mental stress or anxiety.
Thinking that we must do this or that and follow “the rules” to avoid hell and get into heaven is fairly stressful. Not having a understanding of "the rules" can cause anxiety.
To obtain and maintain this state of peace, it is essential that we develop techniques that foster clear and honest, critical thinking. We must each develop our own personal life-long philosophy.
My personal philosophy is to be the best world citizen I can be, try to influence others to live the same way, and contribute to society in any way that I can. I must continuously improve myself and the world, as best I can. Not because I will be rewarded in the end. Not because some religion tells me that I must do so to avoid hell, but because it is the only thing that makes sense.
Start to develop your philosophy now and measure yourself against your old-self. To know oneself, one must think clearly, honestly, and critically. Once you have contemplated different things, you will know where you stand and know yourself that much better. Continuous improvement is the only way to a truly fulfilling life.
The only constant in life is change. Learn and practice clear and honest critical thinking. You can start here: https://www.criticalthinking.org/pages/defining-cr...
Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes their way.
I have been working on my personal mental attitude for many years and have gotten a good hold on it. I choose to have a positive mental attitude and I almost always feel happy.
The greatest discovery of my generation is that we can alter our life simply by altering our attitude of mind. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That's the day we truly grow up. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty-four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.
Our attitudes control our emotions. Our emotions control our lives. We control our attitudes.
Get your THINK on and check your attitude.
Good luck, love, and peace to you, forever.

I appreciate this comment from Mother Teresa
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

Arguably YES, personally NO. They do not need to bother about their day to day needs or even living. Perhaps they are happy in this regard and get the best for their subsistence. But again they have ego and abnormal needs that they need to satify. Most of the times these factors troubles them most as a result despite having everything in life they are unhappy and discontented.

I wouldn't know personally but I wouldn't think so, either. More money more problems. More fame and everything you do, everything you say is under scrutiny. You'd lose all sense of 'self" not knowing who you can trust, etc.

What is "best" in life or the "best" kind of life is strictly a matter of opinion, but after meeting basic survival needs of food, clothing an d shelter, there are many other 'things" in life that are more important than wealth, with good health and companionship being two of them.

Well it depends, do they get almost everything they want, yes. do they look happy, yes, but they it's lonely at the top sometimes. and being human we all have our problems. to be honest I think that someone who has a wonderful family, friends who love you, and are happy have the best life. Famous people are lucky but it doesn't compare to having the best time with your friends and family because thats what counts. Live to the fullest.

It's subjective... I'd say no way. Imagine being constantly followed by papnazi's / photographers, or as I like to call them "paid stalkers" and mobbed EVERYWHERE you go.
