What are some good paints to use to touch up my bike?
I just bought a Specialized bike at a garage sale for $3. It's an awesome bike, but naturally it has some rust, being $3. I've removed all of the rust from the frame, and now I need to touch up where there's holes in the paint.
Do I need to use auto paint? Would those little acrylic model paints you can find at hobby shops do the trick?
Also, what type of clear coat would work best? Just plain ol' Polyurethane?
Any and all advice appreciated!

I would use a "rust inhibiting" paint (available in most hardware stores as both cans and sprays) as a primer. Then I would try to clean it up using auto paint. Perhaps you could tape off some bands/stripes so that you paint a complimentary band/stripe instead of just touching up.
You can buy clear coat in a spray can. Either from the same location where the rust paint is, or from the auto department.
Incidentally, "Emery tape AKA Aluminum Oxide Sandpaper" works best on rust.

I suggest nail polish. It is available in a staggering array of colors, dries fast, and is cheap. Use clear nail polish as well.
Polyurethane refers to a finish formulation, not a clear coat. The stuff you get at retail stores is way too soft for a bicycle frame and may be incompatible with the bike finish.
