  • Improperly installed head gasket?

I have an '04 Chrysler 300m with the 3.5l V6 engine. The head gasket blew back in December, and a family friend (an independent mechanic) said he could replace it for cheap. Ever since I've had it back, it's been acting up. Overheating, losing compression and stalling, and leaking coolant from underneath both sides of the head. This mechanic swears he installed the gasket right (even though he didn't have it remachined or anything) and that the head gaskset probably just cracked for one reason or another. Which would be more likely? Improperly installed, another blown gasket, or both?

  • Chrysler power failure?

Just got a 2004 Chrysler 300m. It was running fine for a day, took it about 50 miles, then I noticed a brownish-red liquid dripping from it. The steering wheel locked, the brakes locked, the accelerator locked, all the gauges turned off, and only the front cab lights were on. I ve talked to three different mechanics. One said it was the CPU, one said it was the rack, one said it was the power steering leaking. Is there anyone who can help shed some light on this?

  • One row of keys on my Apple USB Keyboard has gone bad?

So my school's I.T dept gave me one of those aluminum USB Apple keyboards. It was free because one row of keys (Caps lock to J) are dead. I've scrubbed 'em top and bottom with rubbing alcohol. There's no visible tears in the rubber. Any ideas?

  • What are some ways to prevents mold growth in my room?

I live in the (finished) basement of my house. My bed sits in a corner, because my room is slightly small. Underneath the bed, for some reason unbeknownst to me, it s always humid and wet, and there s a high level of condensation. Because of this, there s always mold under there. I m cleaning it up as often as I can, but it s becoming tiresome. How can I stop this moisture, and prevent mold growth?

(Note: The mold is not growing on my bed, just the wall and the heating vent underneath it)

  • Help me name this hard rock song I head on the radio?

Alright, long shot here, but I was in the car today and I heard a harder rock song. It had a female singer, and one of the lyrics went something like "I want to tear you apart" and it was like "I'm" something and "you're" something.

Not very helpful, I know, but I'm hoping someone can figure out what I'm talking about. I can remember the song being really good and I want to hear it again.

  • Is a 6000w amp safe to run at home?

I'm looking at Behringer's 6000w amp. However, I'm concerned about being able to run it at home. Is it safe? Is there risk of overloading and something catching fire?

  • GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro?

So I got the "Pro" Rewards card from Gamestop (I go there so often, it'll pay for itself). They gave me the actual card and a miniature keychain card. Would it be safe to give the keychain card to a friend to use, so he can get the discount? There doesn't really seem to be a whole lot of damage that could be done.

  • Which of these DJ lights should I get?

I'm buying a new light soon, just debating which to get. There's either A. The Chauvet Mini Kinta:

Or B. The Chauvet Derby X:

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. I'm looking for lights within the $100 price range that will provide a lot of coverage.

  • Plant suggestions for my aquarium?

Trying to kick the ol' plastic plants and get some live ones in there. Right now I have aponogeton crispus, aponogeton ulvaceus, anubias minimus, and anubias barteri. I want something that'll create a carpet effect. Not java moss, because that was a disaster.

I'm looking for a way to prevent flats. Do slime tubes really help? Or should I try the kevlar tires and tire liner trick?

  • Why are my fish dying?

I've lost a lot of fish recently. They turned white, and were half alive, then would die. It's not ick, because they don't have white spots. They just lose coloration, completely at random, then die. This has happened to about 5 fish now, of different species. Two of them died crooked, with their spines bent.

This issue has me completely confused. The tank wasn't over the bioload (I used that little tool online to help judge that), I let it cycle for a month before putting fish in, I do weekly 30% water changes. After the first few died, I tried treating the tank with some anti-fungal medicine, increasing temp (Which is always a stable 80* F), and doing daily 10% water changes to no avail, fish are still dying.

I would love to hear if anyone has any ideas about why this is happening. This is a 20 gallon tank. Currently I'm running two 40g filters to help keep it clean.

  • What do you use when fish are missing scales?

One of my Fancy Guppies looks like he got scraped against something, as he is missing a chunk of scales. His pale skin is showing, with a small scrape.

How do I help him? Is there any medicine I should run out and buy?

  • What are some good paints to use to touch up my bike?

I just bought a Specialized bike at a garage sale for $3. It's an awesome bike, but naturally it has some rust, being $3. I've removed all of the rust from the frame, and now I need to touch up where there's holes in the paint.

Do I need to use auto paint? Would those little acrylic model paints you can find at hobby shops do the trick?

Also, what type of clear coat would work best? Just plain ol' Polyurethane?

    Any and all advice appreciated!

  • Are there variants of sword plants that grow in brackish water?

So. I was going for a stroll along a riverside where I live, and found a little tidal area, with a bunch of sword looking plants and some crypts. Can they survive in brackish water? They have a variety of sizes, and I was considering maybe taking some for my own freshwater aquarium. Thoughts?

  • Bought a moss ball. What the heck do I do with it?

So I went to Petco today, and I saw they had these moss balls in their aquarium. I decided I'd buy once, since they seemed pretty healthy. Went home and noticed that it's literally just moss wrapped into a ball with fishing line.

Is it supposed to just float there, or can I take off the string and start gluing it to driftwood and such?

    Thanks!
