Will Firemouth Cichlids and Pictus Catfish get along?

I have two pictus cats in my 30 gallon tank right now. If I get a few Firemouth Cichlids, will everyone play nice?

Cichlids are aggressive but I think they will get along as long as they have enough room. They also get pretty big so I would upgrade to a 50 or 50+ gallon tank if you have your heart set on them. When thinking of adding new fish to your tank it's not only important to make sure everyone will get along "swimmingly" it's also important to keep size and growth in mind. Fish who keep growing will need more room, all fish need 1 gallon per inch on their body. So be sure to keep that in mind. :)
