1000 Calorie Diet questions?

Alright

So before you go through the whole thing about this being too low and such, I know. Currently I'm only eating 800 Calories. And though there's a chance it'll burn some muscle, that's fine because it'll rip away more fat first.

My main question is this:

I've researched enough to know that in order to get to my desired weight of 230 lbs I'd have to eat 800 calories for weeks.

Now, I know enough about Starvation Mode and all those little nitty gritty things too so they're not really that important to mention.

Mainly I just want the answer to this question:

If I eat 800 calories for five weeks to get to 230

How many weeks would it take me to get to 230 if I ate 1000 calories.

Now I'm probably gonna stick to the 800 for the weekdays but on weekends I'll go up to 1000 so it shouldn't be too much longer, but it's just for interest sake. :)

I need to lose the weight quickly :P

Thanks folks

Take it easy

To answer this question I would need to know your height and current weight. Google calorie calculator. It will tell you dependiing on your height and age and weight how many calories to eat a day to lose weight. It'll also tell you have many pounds you should lose a week. Good luck.

Source(s): I use calorie calculators. Currently on a 1000 calorie diet. Use Google.

Is exercise part of your weight loss strategy? What type of calories are you consuming? You may accelerate your results if you increase your daily caloric intake, eat more protein, and add weight training to your daily routine.

You mentioned Starvation Mode so you already realize that you may be slowing down your metabolism by reducing your calories to such a low daily rate. I went on a mission trip to Africa last year where food was more scarce and i would estimate that my ate about 800 calories a day. I could really feel my metabolism slow down and I really didn't lose weight over the 8 days that I was there.

Muscle burns calories much faster than fat. For a short term weight loss strategy to hit a desired weight quickly, consider increasing your calories to allow for more protein in your diet and add weight training to your routine. Building lean muscle tissue will help you lose weight faster than cardio exercise in the short term. However, doing cardio exercise as part of your weight management routine has many health benefits.

    Good luck.
